About
Quicksilver Productions provides booking, management and planning for a select roster of cutting-edge Americana artists, specializing in Old Time, Classic Country, Bluegrass and Honkytonk music. Quicksilver Productions books shows at listening rooms, festivals, house concerts, theaters, clubs, municipal parks and private parties.
Quicksilver Productions is the outgrowth of Martha Stracener Dantzic’s love for acoustic music, born in the deep south, where she grew up listening to her father and friends pickin’ tunes on the porch. Layering serendipitously on this foundation was fifteen years in Alaska, a state burgeoning with acoustic artists, where she began promoting the genre as a radio dee-jay and an organizer for the Alaska Folk Festival.
Now, after 20 years a non-profit administrator working with people with disabilities, Dantzic brings her expertise as an advocate, organizer and marketer to promoting musicians she wants the world to know. Whether it’s Caleb Klauder’s crackly ballads, Frank Solivan’s precision fiddle, or Jackstraw’s rollicking high-energy, she chooses highly-skilled artists who have something authentic to contribute to the modern American music movement.
“I just want to turn people on to ass kicking American music!,” she says.
